Latency Pulse
privateiOS/macOSA lightweight macOS menu bar app that continuously monitors network health, learns per-network latency baselines, and alerts you the moment something degrades.
Highlights
- Learns a separate latency baseline per network profile — keyed by SSID, connection type, and frequency band — so 5GHz and 2.4GHz on the same Wi-Fi are tracked independently
- Classifies connection health in real time (Good/Degraded/Poor/Offline) from configurable HTTP HEAD latency probes every 5-60 seconds
- Sleep/wake aware — pauses probing on sleep and discards the first post-wake sample to avoid false degradation alerts
- Roughly 19 MB RAM and 0.1% average CPU, with baseline history persisted as batched, crash-safe JSON writes
